Mission Statement

Mission
We are Peterson Stoop, a Dutch design duo founded by Jelske Peterson and Jarah Stoop in 2013. Our mission is to design and rebuild shoes that stand the test of time. Celebrating wear, enabling repair, and advancing a transparent, circular future.

Design
We create shoes to be repaired, not replaced. Traces of wear tell your story; our construction elevates the look and makes maintenance straightforward. Every pair is a statement against the temporary.

People
Change is a collective effort. We take time to understand our customers, and aim for exceptional service. We share knowledge with the next generation and work closely with suppliers to uphold ethical standards. We provide fair wages, reasonable working hours, and safe conditions for our team. 

Planet
We upcycle used sneakers to extend product life and reduce landfill waste; lowering CO₂e across the lifecycle. We design to minimize offcuts and teach how to care for your shoes. We use responsible materials, including vegetable-tanned leather and water based glue.

Transparency
We believe in radical transparency. We publish details about our suppliers, sourcing, and production so you can make informed choices. By sharing where we are today and where we’re headed, we hold ourselves accountable and keep improving.
