Mission Statement
We are Peterson Stoop, a design duo from The Netherlands, founded by Jelske Peterson and Jarah Stoop, in 2013.
Design
It is our goal to design shoes that last a lifetime. We embrace the traces of wear and repair, they tell a story of your adventures in life. Our design style elevates the look of your shoes and makes them repairable too. Our creations are not just shoes; they are a statement against the temporary.
People
We can not make a change without you. Everyone is welcome to be part of our community. We take time to understand our customers and aim for 100% satisfaction. We offer our employees fair wages, reasonable working hours, and safe working conditions. We share our knowledge with the next generation and we foster solid relationships with our suppliers, to ensure ethical working conditions.
Planet
We breathe new life into used sneakers through upcycling, reducing landfill waste and extending the lifecycle of our products; this reduces CO2e. We develop design strategies to minimize our waste and share knowledge about how to care for your shoes. Our use of sustainable materials, such as vegetable-tanned leather from Italy’s Volpi tannery and cork from Portugal’s 3D Cork, further supports our mission to protect our planet.
Transparency
We believe in full transparency. We share detailed information about our suppliers, sourcing practices, and production processes, allowing you to make informed choices. By openly acknowledging our current state and setting ambitious goals, we hold ourselves accountable and strive for continuous improvement.
